Ingredients

  • 1 cup tamarind pulp
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine tamarind pulp, brown sugar, soy sauce, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, and water.

  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring continuously.

  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes until the sauce thickens.

  4. Remove from heat and let the sauce cool for a few minutes.
