A refreshing and tangy citrus drink infused with tamarind flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup tamarind pulp
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/3 cup honey or sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime wedges and mint leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pour tamarind pulp, lime juice, and 1 cup of water into a blender. Blend until smooth.

  2. Strain the juice through a sieve, pressing with a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible.

  3. Mix the tamarind-lime juice with remaining water, honey (or sugar), and salt in a pitcher.

  4. Chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour or until ready to serve.

  5. Serve over ice cubes with lime wedges and mint leaves for garnish.
