- 1 cup rice
- 2 tbsp tamarind paste
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/4 tsp asafoetida
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp roasted peanuts
- Curry leaves for garnish
Instructions

Cook the rice and spread it on a plate to cool down.

Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves.

Add asafoetida, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.

Add tamarind paste and mix until well combined.

Add the cooked rice and mix gently until the tamarind paste is evenly distributed.
